From coffee aroma to The Julius experience
In 1862, Julius Meinl opened his first grocery shop in Vienna. More than 160 years later, the family name spans coffee, retail, real estate and hospitality. Now, for the first time, the family is opening its own investment platform to qualified investors through the Julius Fund.
The story began even earlier. In 1824, Julius Meinl I was born in Kraslice, in what is today the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. In Vienna, he built the foundations of a family business that has remained entrepreneurial for more than six generations.
